“One night back in April of 2023 Chico, California's kings of blister rock, the Wind-Ups, came to the Golden Bull in Oakland and delivered 17 songs in 28 minutes.

They said it couldn't be done. They said for the sake of Jason, Connor and Manny it SHOULDN'T be done, but frontman Jake Sprecher threw caution to the wind and counted "1-2-3-4".

That night faces were melted, ears were left ringing and legend was made. The People heard tales far and wide. The People wanted to believe but the People wanted proof.

In the spirit of the Ramones "It's Alive", the Replacements "The Shit Hits the Fans" and "Altamont: The Musical"- and through the wonders of modern technology and the power of JT Recording's audio wizardry- Dandy Boy Records is proud to present the Wind-Ups "Live In Oakland".

The seventeen song set delivers the meat of the band's two albums, “Try Not To Think” and “Happy Like This” (both available on Mt. St. Mtn.) with barely a breath between songs. Featuring hits like the (at the time) topical “Drinking Bleach”, the self-esteem boosting “Tell Me Again How Pretty I Am” and the humbling “You’re Not That Cool”- it will feel like the Wind-Ups are live in your living room.”
